For walking around in the city a $300 jacket is fine, but when the wind-chill is -50f you want the best jacket made by mankind.
CG claims never giving a discount; I am going to tear this parka apart for what its worth by being extremely critical. If otherwise, I am going to voice my disappointment so loud that it will make the evening news. Added the vest last year…again got my money’s worth.
That ditsy little coat you’re wearing wouldn’t last through September out here, so please don’t comment on the travails of winter living until you’ve actually lived through a real winter. I’m not against the price tag for a warm, nice-looking, made in Canada coat. I am certainly against the use of real coyote fur on the trim. It is a high quality, well made, and warm coat. I spend alot of time outside so i am willing to pay for a proper coat.
Hi Brooke, both coats are 625-fill power so they’ll be the same for warmth although because the Victoria is slightly longer, you’ll have more coverage. As for size, the best I can suggest is to refer to the measurements in the sizing chart. Using your personal measurements for goose jacket the waist, hips and chest you should be able to decide on one that will be a good fit for you. Thanks for the questions Mel, I would suggest the small because if the chest is too tight you may find the fit uncomfortable and not very practical to wear for your daily routine.
