Cuisinart Clermont Pellet Grill & Smoker Review

Another company is licensed to make the grill for Cuisinart. Now, I bought this grill for a few reasons but an important factor was that I trusted Cusinart as a brand that makes solid, reliable, affordable products. What I learned is that I am not buying a Cusinart at all but Grill made by another company that slaps a Cuisinart name on it.

If you’re not sure what a PID control panel is, and importantly, why you want one, my article linked above explains more. Put simply, a PID control panel can regulate the temperature cuisinart soup maker inside the pellet grill/smoker much more precisely. This means two things, first, you get a better cook, but you also don’t waste pellets heating the grill to unnecessarily high temperatures.

This grill can handle almost everything you want to throw at it. The cooking chamber is accessed by two large ‘french’ doors cuisinart griddler elite with built-in windows. You can monitor cooking and meat temperatures, watch the process, and never open the cooking chamber.

Open the other door, you can add charcoal or wood easier. I was browsing the Lowes website as I do from time to time to look for new pellet grill models and I came across a Camp Chef model I cuisinart griddler elite wasn’t familiar with, the MZGX24. Wow, that is an insanely good price given the MSRP on their website. As for having a hard time keeping temp, the grill naturally fluctuates during the cook.

The height (5.5” inches) between the racks is large enough so you can cook bulky food in the upright position. You can also remove one rack to have space for a 24-pound turkey. All in all, this is a fine pellet grill, but we preferred other grills at the same price point. If it doesn’t come together correctly, the automated pellet delivery system will fail to deliver pellets to the fire pot, and the grill won’t reach appropriate heat levels. Worse yet, the grill could turn off mid-session, or the ignited pellets can back up into the hopper, creating a fire hazard.

They do have some units which are basically identical to several Z Grills models. However, it was the introduction of the Woodcreek and Twin Oaks which were the two cuisinart pots and pans set first unique Cuisinart pellet grill/smoker offerings. And for their price as you can check out in my article above, I actually think they are pretty impressive.

That is enough to cook a medium-sized brisket with chicken or burgers. The SmokePro SG 24 is one of the best mid-range pellet grills in Camp Chef’s SG series. Available in black or bronze, it comes with a second-generation Wi-Fi PID controller and 2 meat probes. At the very least, all of the pellet grills named in this article would give you 20 hours of slow cooking (225°F) at a rate of 1 pound of pellets per hour. I had some issues with the pellet sensor going off when I still had pellets…but I have a beta model. If you still have problems, you can disable that feature. I love that the 12″ control panel has bright, bold numbers. When I’m not using the app, I can view the readings from across the backyard, which gives me peace of mind. The pellet hopper holds 40 pounds of pellets and includes an interior light.
