Weber Q 1000 1-Burner Portable Gas Grill, Titanium

A single, U-shaped burner puts out 8,500 BTU to efficiently heat the porcelain-enameled, cast-iron grill surface. Although it tops our list of portable grills, the 31-pound, 3.2 cubic-foot frame of the Q 1200 is best suited to your tailgate, apartment patio, or as part of your RV setup. 3200 grill offers the largest cooking space in the whole series. With 393 square inches of cooking space, you can cook much more at the same time. However, its larger capacity increases its dimensions to 55.5 x 50.2 x 30 inches, which reduces its portability. To counter this, the grill comes with an included heavy-duty cart that can help you wheel out the grill from its storage space.

The control valve and ignition button simply slip into place, and the ignition even comes with the necessary AAA battery. Once that’s done, all that’s left to do is place the grates on the grill and slide the catch pan into place. portable bbq Overall, you will find Q2000 to be as durable, sturdy, tough, and easy to maintain as the previous models. Apart from this, its cookbox design will circulate the heat much better to give you tenderized yet smoky meat.

For our urban grillers, it’s perfect for balconies or any size deck. The weber qis also a fun house-warming or wedding gift, or a great additional grill for any avid back yard bbq hero. I purchased this grill to replace my large 20 year old Weber grill that served my family well. This is the perfect size for my needs now that I’m retired and live alone. I like how fast it comes to temperature, using less gas since it’s so quick. Grill plates are easy to remove and clean in my sink.

If indirect cooking is necessary, Weber suggests is that you use a grill basket to create a little more distance from the flame. The grill surface is roughly 12½″ front to back and 16¾″ side to side at its widest points. It’s large enough to grill about six larger hamburger patties or around 18 regular hotdogs. Alternatively, two smaller steaks on one side and a veggie pack on the other.

Since then Weber, like many others, has outsourced manufacturing of more product lines. Things change, but we believe Weber’s commitment to quality and innovation has not. The only real difference is that the 2200 is a bit bigger and it has a hood thermometer. However, what I have seen of the 2200 makes it a good investment for you.

It’s a similar grill with a few upgrades and is built for 16oz bottles. Please don’t get a PRO model, because it will not accept disposable LP bottles. The other common problem noted was from people who found it difficult to attach a 16oz propane cylinder, which I mentioned in the Quality section of this review.
