Cordless Vacuums Handheld Vacuums Lightweight Rechargeable Vacuum

In order to keep your Shark vacuum running smoothly for years to come, you want to make sure to care for it appropriately. First, open and dump the dust bin to keep it from becoming too full. Although many of the newer models have self-cleaning brushrolls, you’ll want to keep an eye out for any long strands of hair that need to be removed from the cleaning head. Whenever you have time, we recommend placing the filter under running water. As its name suggests, the Rocket Pet Pro has a few features that make it a smart pick for pet owners. The main feature, a self-cleaning brushroll, stops hair from getting tangled up in the vacuum’s brush.

The LED headlights are a genius addition, allowing you to clearly see – and clean up – each bit of dirt in dark corners. In terms of noise, this vacuum is relatively quiet but produces a high frequency sound, which makes it seem louder than it actually is. Therefore, they should not be used by those who have a strong sensitivity to dust, allergies, or any upper-respiratory issues like asthma. Corded Shark vacuums usually require manually winding the electrical cord for storage instead of automatically storing it away.

However, the Navigator’s lower price point does mean that it might not last as long as other options from Shark and will likely have to be replaced over time. Overall, we found Shark vacuums to be well within the normal volume range for a vacuum cleaner. In fact, if any of these vacuums is making an excessive amount of noise, it probably means that you should get it looked at.

While they may not have specialized tools like a pet grooming brush or a ceiling fan tool, they come with a solid selection of tools and brushes to help get the job done. A HEPA filter plus a sealed system keep dust and allergens inside the vacuum, and out of the air you breathe. Bend the wand for convenient under-furniture reach and freestanding, compact storage. To make it easy to choose the right vacuum for you, we’ve done the heavy lifting and tested a number of Shark’s cordless vacuums. We’ve selected our four favorite models — the Shark ION F80, ION P50, Navigator, and the Rocket Pet Pro — based on a number of key factors and features. Shark manufactures homeware goods like irons and mops in addition to vacuums. Their vacuums come at a variety of price points, so you can find something that fits your budget.

Anyone who’s had a vacuum malfunction due to hair getting tangled in their brush can appreciate the power of this feature. Even long hair didn’t stop this vacuum from functioning efficiently. In fact, we almost felt compelled to anoint this vacuum “Most Likely to Clean Up a Hair Salon.” Shark excels at offering cordless vacuums that are multifunctional, or at least very flexible and maneuverable. Each model offers different options, but as a whole, Shark provides versatility.

It delivers fantastic performance on bare floors and does a good job of cleaning carpets. While you can adjust the speed of its brushroll, you can’t change its height, meaning it can get stuck on thick carpeting. And if you’re a pet owner with allergies, this vacuum is definitely for you. The Rocket Pet Pro’s sealed system, with a HEPA filter, means that small, airborne debris are filtered and trapped inside the vacuum.

Performance is superb on a wide range of surfaces, as it easily clears away debris on hard floors and low and high-pile carpet. It features two distinct surface settings, though they only change the speed of its brushroll and not the height of its floorhead, so it’s still liable to get stuck on rug tassels and thick carpeting. Fans of Shark swear by this DuoClean technology because it provides powerful suction and makes switching between hardwood floors and carpets as easy as the press of a button. That’s because there are two different types of motorized brushrolls, so you don’t need to change the floorhead when going from carpet to hardwood.

However, we do tend to prefer the Shark ION F80 because of its impressive battery life. However, it’s worth noting that it isn’t as well-suited to cleaning large areas as corded models, as it can only run for a maximum of about 40 minutes when used in its traditional upright configuration. If you aren’t entirely sold on the vacuum’s cordless design and prefer using a corded vacuum for longer cleaning sessions, the Shark APEX UpLight is a fantastic alternative.

This vacuum is lightweight and maneuverable, meaning you can clean cluttered areas for long periods with minimal fatigue. While you’ll have to pay more, it’s available with a ‘Home & Car bissell crosswave cordless Detail’ kit that includes a set of fine brushes and crevice tools to help clean tight spots. Your product’s model number is listed on the front cover of your instruction booklet.
